Manic mate and all-round good bugger Rob Vaz is one awesome human being. Rob grew up in the Waikato and along with older brother Rene they fly fished at every chance they could, learning the craft at a young age on the nearby lakes, rivers and streams. Later, Rob become involved in competition fly fishing, adding another discipline to his skill set and reaching the peaks of the scene in New Zealand. Rob has hours and hours of on water time and there is not much left of the north island left for Rob to fish.
