MANIC TACKLE PROJECT IS LAUNCHED - 01 April 2008

Rene and Susan Vaz are turning their dream into reality and helping get even more New Zealanders turned onto fishing. Their new business venture, Manic Tackle Project is about getting high quality, affordable fishing equipment into the hands of New Zealanders as well as a sophisticated online space for keen anglers to learn more, share tips and hints and keep up to date with the industry. The business will focus on designing and distributing leading edge fishing tackle for expert anglers and for those wanting to learn more about the sport.

Manic will mix product development with a strong commitment to developing the tackle market by creating a resource for new anglers in the form of online tutorials, instructional and educational videos. Manic's website is designed as a community base for anglers to give their feedback on product development and even product selection from suppliers.

Rene Vaz has an extensive knowledge of the industry having been the General Manager of New Zealand's Composite Developments for six years. Rene is also a qualified casting instructor and ex New Zealand fly fishing representative.
