Fly Fishing New Zealand - Backcountry - Shadows of Silver
"Join Hamish Carnachan and myself on an over-nighter into a remote, lower North Island stream. Overnight rain made the stream un-fishable for a day, but the weather gods we’re smiling on us, with a stunning day to follow… near perfect conditions. The fish were hungry, actively feeding off the top in the rain-fed, gin clear water. A helicopter making a short trip like this a breeze! Made a nice change chasing these wee silver pocket-rockets over the usual Brown Trout… I forgot how hard Rainbows fight in comparison, and have the bruised knuckles to prove it!" - Andrew Harding
