Team Tuesday - More harbour kings

Yesterday the sales team and marketing team all piled into Matts boat with his friend Kirwan up from Christchurch and steamed out into the magnificent Hauraki Gulf to see if we could locate a few kingfish to muck around with on the Scott Tidals. It was a VERY busy morning on the water around sunrise with two cruise ships, multiple ferries, many container ships and small navel flotilla all keeping us on our toes around the channel buoys. And we saw a shark.

The morning started slowly and took us a couple of buoys to start getting into the fish but by the end of the sessions we'd all boated a few and lost a couple more. There was a great take on the popper which would be as good as any dryfly eat out there, watching the big green back zoning in and not missing a beat on the fly was amazing, until seconds later the fish had us chain wrapped and checkmated.

Anyway, here's a few photos of the morning and it's back to work for us.
